The New Yorker // Eustace Tilley Contest

In 2011, my illustration was selected among the winners in The New Yorker's Eustace Tilley Contest, curated by art editor Françoise Mouly. The work was featured in the online gallery, and was one of five illustrations selected for publication in the February 14 & 21, 2011 issue of The New Yorker.

I discovered the contest by chance, drew the illustration that afternoon, and submitted it the same day. This piece became one of my earliest published works and an important milestone in my career.
